London, Wednesday 24th August, 2016 – hotukdeals, the UK’s leading social commerce platform and founding member of Pepper.com, has appointed Danny Munday as general manager to oversee the increasing number of commercial opportunities as the site celebrates its twelfth birthday by hitting a milestone of over 1.5 million members and 2 million deal threads.
Before joining hotukdeals, Danny spent six months in Asia building the partnerships function for CompareAsiaGroup and before that held multiple positions in his three and half years at MoneySuperMarket including head of home services and head of deals, vouchers and shopping.
A primary focus for Danny will be to develop the partner proposition and relationships in both existing and new categories to ensure the hotukdeals audience continue to have access to the best deals possible to help them save money without interruptive marketing, a concept set by founder Paul Nikkel from the site’s inception in 2004.
On his appointment, Danny Munday said, “It’s great to join hotukdeals and be part of the strongest deals platform in the country. The community of deal hunters at hotukdeals are instrumental in helping others save money across a wide range of products and, along with my colleagues, I will be actively seeking to broaden our proposition to areas such as personal finance including energy switching, broadband, credit card, current accounts, car leasing/loans and peer-to-peer lending to encourage our members to save money in these areas as well.”
Danny is available for comment on a range of topics including social commerce, e-commerce and more. For more details please contact chloe@hotukdeals.com.
